(New York, NY – June 9, 2008 ) Independent artist, Non-P (Non Pareil) will leak the sounds of his highly anticipated freshman album “Premonition” on Sunday, June 29th, 7 – 9pm at Brooklyn’s elite Nightclub/Lounge, Secrets.
The album will be released through Non-P’s record label, Rhythm Child as well as executive producer, Robert Harris’s label, Elevations to New Heights.
Non-P steps out of the box of traditional Hip-Hop and demonstrates a musical revolution unique to his Flatbush upbringing. He explores the dimensions of west and east coast rap styles and tackles the issues of urban crime, political shifts in power and personal and economic changes brought about by the changing times.
The album takes you through the journey of his spirituality, struggle with the streets and his reality of living and surviving in Brooklyn.
Non-P, otherwise referred to as today’s “Freedom writer” is poised for a musical revolution, as his unbiased and objective opinions deliver like an explosive bomb of truth.
He follows great musical pioneers and revolutionists, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Organized Confusion, Lords of the Underground, Mos Def and Common.
Opening acts include, Lost Sheep, Beny Phatz, Christian B, Braze’l and Mozim.
