Real estate tycoon Donald Trump publicly attacked President Barack Obama and challenged his leadership with regard to the Baltimore riots this week via his Twitter page.
Trump tried to clean it up a little …
Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill had some choice words for Trump’s controversial rant.
President Obama addressed the Baltimore riots at a press conference Tuesday (April 28):
“There’s no excuse for the kind of violence we saw yesterday. People looting and burning down buildings are not protesting, they are criminals. If our society really wanted to solve the problem, we could, but it requires everybody saying this is important… and that we don’t just pay attention to these communities when a CVS burns. We can’t just leave this to the police. It is not a protest. It is not a statement. It is a handful of people taking advantage of the situation.” (White House Press Conference)
Baltimore sports teams and schools were forced to cancel in light of the riots.
The Baltimore Orioles game with the Chicago White Sox scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Tuesday was postponed. The Baltimore Ravens canceled their draft party which was scheduled for Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium “out of respect” for the curfew in Baltimore,” according to the NFL team. The NFL draft is set to begin Thursday night in Chicago. (CNN)
