Tuesday marked the halfway mark on a 342-day space cruise for Astronaut Scott Kelly aboard the International Space Station. He and Russia’s Mikhail Kornienko are conducting a test on what the effects are on the body during a prolonged space journey. (Spoiler alert: the astronauts had to drink their own sweat and their poop was recycled into shooting stars).
During his floating days and nights, Kelly captured some breathtaking images of expansive cities, fantasy-like landscapes, and auroras blinking magenta and turquoise colors over the earthly dome.
