J Dilla’s mother, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey, and Vintage Vibez Music Group are gearing up for the release of J Dilla‘s second posthumous album, Dillatronic – as planned.
The project is slated for release on October 30 and will be available on CD and vinyl with three distinctly unique deluxe packages.
“I can smile in my heart, knowing my son’s work is being shared with the people as we planned before he passed,” said his mother in the offiicial press release. “I only share the best, and I only hope to continue introducing the world to the genius of J Dilla.”
The project will showcase more than 40 instrumentals created by the late Detroit producer.
J Dilla, who died in 2006 from Lupus-related complications, is best known for two prominent albums Donuts and The Shining, the latter being the first of his released posthumous albums.
