The winner of Forbes’s 2015 Cash Prince Award goes to Sean “Diddy” Combs, who blew past Jay Z, Drake, and Dr. Dre – reportedly raking in a cool $60 million over a 365-day time span. This includes earnings from touring, record sales, streaming, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and all of his other wheelings and dealings.
The Diddy enterprise is built on several franchises, i.e. his Revolt TV network, Sean John apparel, Aquahydrate alkaline water, and Ciroc vodka. This doesn’t include what revenue he will gain from his forthcoming album No Way Out 2.
Jay Z comes in second with an income of $56 million based on his “On the Run” tour sales with wife Beyoncé, his Roc Nation company, and $10,000 bottles of pretty champagne.
Serena William’s boo weighs in at number three with $39.5 million from playing 50 concerts at $1 million per night. Back in 2013, Drake said making the Forbes ranking was on his list of things to do every year.
Concluding the top five of rap’s richest is Dr. Dre with $33 million and Pharrell with $32 million.
