Rose J – “Bad Mama”

She’s a “Bad Mama.” The balancing act of motherhood, marriage, higher education and work is not an easy feat.

Pop singer, Rose J, put pen to paper to commemorate the women who do it all.

Rose J’s “Bad Mama” featuring J. Alcide, weaves hints of creole and english simultaneously over a melodic house beat, produced by Eleven Ego Crusher.

Raised in Cap-Haitien, a city on the north side of Haiti, Rose matriculated to Queens, NY as a teenager, where she’s resided ever since.

Wearing many hats, Rose is currently getting her degree in Psychology following which, she intends to pursue her Masters in Human Resources. She is also a fashion designer, but recently modeled for Fashion Week (NYC).

Of the message behind the song, Rose says, “It doesn’t matter what you have going on – as long as you take care of your family and obligations, you’re a Bad Mama!”
